Just announced today is Apple's iPad. A combination of a Wacom tablet, iPhone, and a Kindle. Yes, at first the name seemed like an odd choice but considering the brand.... I'm not sure what else they could have named it to keep it cohesive. Maybe iTablet, but that doesn't really fit. With iPod, iPhone, iPod touch, and now iPad, I think it works. Besides the somewhat unusual name, which I'm sure we'll get used to..., I'm quite excited about it. Unlike the iPhone, the iPad is not exclusively with AT&T. It does come with Wi-Fi but it also works with 3G. It's obviously larger, which is nice for reading books and watching films. Also, it is said to be a lot easier to navigate. Apple wants the iPad to be a "personal media experience" as opposed to a netbook or an oversized iPod Touch. Apps will work on it as well as a bunch of "work" suites. It's not just for play. The more I read up on it, the more excited I get about it! It's really pretty too....

UPDATE: The iPad comes with a wi-fi only option or a wi-fi plus 3G which is sold through AT&T, however, it is not on a contract basis. It looks to be a month to month option. Cancelable at any time or activated any time.
