Here are some beautiful images from a traveling show called Ashes and Snow, created by Gregory Colbert. Aren't they breathtaking? The project began in 1992 and is ongoing. The title Ashes and Snow originates from Colbert's fictitious novel about a man who is writing letters to his wife during a year long journey. The novel was first published in 1994. There is an hour long film as well as photography. All of these images were captured in camera. No compositing has been done.
I think these images are absolutely stunning. I had seen two of the images before but I had never heard of the show until recently. I looked it up and found all these incredible images. There are many more images on the website.
