Terrariums, Terrariums

I know I've written about terrariums before but I think they are the perfect solution to adding natural elements to your home. Especially if you're not much of a green thumb! Here are a couple places that have some great options.

There's a new collaboration from artist, Shane Powers and West Elm that I am loving. All you need is air and water! My favorites are the hanging glass bubbles and the cut clay cylinders.

The hanging drop and No. 1 terrariums from Terrain are really nice too.

Plus, I still adore the corked and mini terrariums from Tortoise Loves Donkey.

If you have some other sources, I'd love to hear!

Pearl Ornament Love

How could this gorgeous pearl ornament be out of stock when I have just discovered it? This is very sad news indeed. Please find one lurking in your warehouse or please make them again next year...

Sincerely,
Brittany

White Nutcrackers

For a few years, my brother has collected nutcrackers. It's not a large collection but he's decided we've got enough. But... I really love these white nutcrackers from West Elm. Maybe I should get him one anyway. (Or maybe I should get one for me...) A portion of the proceeds will be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital so it's really a purchase for a good cause, right? Yes, I'm thinking it is. The nutcracker platters are fun too.

P.S. These snow globes are gorgeous.

Color Personality Quiz

I recently took this Color Personality quiz from Better Homes and Gardens. It asks 8 personality questions resulting in a color best suited for your decor. The description was pretty accurate, unfortunately, my color personality is yellow. Yellow is my most disliked color. True to form I took the quiz several times changing a few of my choices but I always had the same result. I don't think I'll be repainting anytime soon as I love my grey walls! If you choose to take the quiz, I'd love to hear your results!

Ralph Lauren's Manhattan Home

Today I received my October issue of Elle Decor! The cover story is Ralph Lauren's sleek, minimalist home in Manhattan. It's really lovely. Everything seems so shiny and polished. I love the dining room's light fixtures. I especially love the Storm Trooper and Batman...

Natural Elements

I love these two examples of beautiful natural elements in decor. They bring visual interest to their monochromatic palettes and warm up each space.

Anthology

Anthology is a brand new PRINT magazine!! It's premiere issue will be released in October. I'm super excited about it. Here's a little snippet about Anthology from their website.

"A new quarterly shelter and lifestyle print magazine that takes a narrative approach to its coverage of home décor, travel, design, entertaining, and culture. We envision the magazine as a collection of shared stories shared with readers."

Black Interiors

I love the drama in these black painted rooms. When done well, the results are really striking. What do you think? Would you ever paint your walls black?

Oh Joy! Wallpapers

Joy Deangdeelert Cho from the wonderful blog Oh Joy!, designed these fun, metallic wallpapers from Hygge & West. I think they're really pretty and add great texture.

Teacup Tile!

A few weeks ago, I saw this awesome teacup tile from Design Glut. My grandmother collects teapots and teacups so I think this would be perfect for her. I think I might have to pick one up for myself too! It's kind of a family tradition I should keep up, right?! Plus, I've been thinking about it for weeks so that's always a good sign! Design Glut also has this jar tile which is rather nice too.

Vicente Wolf's Montauk Home

The fabulous Vicente Wolf has his Montauk home featured in the new issue of Lonny Magazine! Vicente is one of my favorite interior designers. I love his use of photography and all his many treasures from his world travels. This home has a beautiful airy quality about it and I love that the "beach" theme is understated. What a gorgeous place to relax and rejuvenate your soul!

Vicente Wolf also has a fantastic blog. Be sure to check it out!
