Color Personality Quiz

I recently took this Color Personality quiz from Better Homes and Gardens. It asks 8 personality questions resulting in a color best suited for your decor. The description was pretty accurate, unfortunately, my color personality is yellow. Yellow is my most disliked color. True to form I took the quiz several times changing a few of my choices but I always had the same result. I don't think I'll be repainting anytime soon as I love my grey walls! I used blog posts as my little snippets of writing and apparently I'm all over the place! At least I'm in good company, right?! Plus, I can honestly say I never got the dreaded result of Dan Brown! Not yet anyway. If you take the quiz, I'd love to hear about your results!

Consumer Consequences

What would the world look like if everyone lived like me?

I saw this interactive quiz on Lilac & Ivy and thought it was pretty cool. Basically, you answer some questions about your current lifestyle habits and it calculates your ecological footprint. Unfortunately, I didn't do so well. My results mentioned that my lifestyle habits are typical for an average American. However, at the rate I'm going, if everyone lived like me, it would take 6 "earths" of natural resources to sustain our 6.6 billion people. Yikes! I think it's time I changed a few more things. Color IQ

I recently came across this Color IQ test from X-Rite Photo. It's based on a scale of 0-99 with 0 being the best score. My result was 12. Even with my glasses on, I think I did rather well! Take the quiz here.

Color Aptitude Test

I was on Yahoo! the other day and saw this article about a Favorite Colors test by the Dewey Color System. The article talked about how CEOs pick different colors than the average person, revealing certain similar personality characteristics. It was pretty intriguing so I decided to take the free aptitude test. It's a pretty quick test. Basically, you pick colors that most appeal to you and then the colors that appeal to you the least. The result then tells you what "occupational category" your career should be in. This test takes maybe a minute or so. Sometimes in verbal or written tests, like the Myers-Briggs personality test, you can guess what answer you need in order to get a certain personality result. As this test is about picking colors, there are no right or wrong answers. My result...

"Nonconforming, Impulsive, Expressive, Romantic, Intuitive, Sensitive, and Emotional" (some of these I'm not so sure about... maybe I've suppressed my inner nature...)

It then goes to list some workspaces as well as a secondary career options. I took the test twice. Both times, my first career type was Creator. The secondary types were first Social Manager. What Type Are You?

I recently took a quiz called What Type Are You? from Pentagram. It gives you four questions. Are you Emotional or Rational? Are you Understated or Assertive? Are you Progressive or Traditional? Are you Disciplined or Relaxed? The questions are pretty broad and depending on the situation, I can be either. When you find out your typeface, it gives you a little about the history and describes some of it's main design elements. The first time I took the quiz I was Courier. I wasn't too excited about that. Mainly because Courier was designed by IBM and I'm very much a Mac person. So I took it again. Now I am Baskerville Italic. I'm a lot happier about that one, however, I secretly wanted the Archer Hairline. The quiz takes only a few minutes.
